Ilgar Verdiyev: We do not attend Joint effort-2007 exercises in Armenia

Azerbaijani military personnel do not participate in these exercises.
Armenian Defense Ministry press secretary Seyran Shahsuvaryan told that through Azerbaijani side agreed to participate in these exercises that are being carried out in the framework of the Partnership for Peace Program, it refused later on.
Azerbaijani Defense Ministryâ€™s spokesman Ilgar Verdiyev said that plan of events in the framework of the Partnership for Peace program is drawn up according to internal procedure of NATO, and every partner country expresses its wish to participate in the events.
â€œBut, the ministry was not informed in what country the Joint effort-2007 exercises will take place. We refused to participate in the exercises that will take pace in Armenia. We do not need to knock at the enemyâ€™s door,â€ the spokesman said. /APA/
