49 trespassers detained in Azerbaijan in September

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA. The officers of the State Border Service detained 49 trespassers for 34 violation case. Press Service of the SBS told APA.

24 detainees were citizens of Azerbaijan, 10 detainees-citizens of Georgia, 8 detainees â€“citizens of Uzbekistan, 2 detainees â€“citizens of Iran. One Ukrainian, one Kyrgyz and one Pakistani citizen were also among the trespassers. 1614 people have been detained while violating border rules under 1355 circumstances.

As a result of measures against crime, 197 people, who were wanted by the Azerbaijani law-enforcement bodies, have been revealed and handed over to the corresponding bodies, and as a result of measures taken against drug trafficking, 3 kg 323,4 gram narcotic substances have been confiscated in 6 cases.

Last month, smuggled goods in amount of AZN 308 000, including one air pistol, 4,5 mm 5 small shots for pistol, 75 - 16 and 12 mm cartridges, 1000 caps, 1 kg powder, 1 surveillance camera, 20 radios, 913 mobile phones, 699 mobile phone accessories, 347 bottles of vodka, 6325 cartons of cigarettes, USD 40,000, 1450 gram silver items, various medicines, food and etc were detained.
