Criminal case launched against Lankaran Aliyev 6 years ago updated

Lankaran Aliyev told APA that the decision of the Baku Appeals Court is unjust.

â€œLast year Baku Appeals Court passed a decision in my favor. Basing on the appeal of the Defense Ministry, Supreme Court sent back the case to Baku Appeals Court. So, Baku Appeals Court passed a decision against me. How can it be that Baku Appeals Court passed two different decisions regarding one case? Is it worth expecting justice from such a court?â€ he said.

Lankaran Aliyev said he will file a cassation against the recent decision of Baku Appeals Court.
â€œI am also going to report to President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. They want to expel from his house the general, who served in the Army for 38 years,â€ he said.

Lankaran Aliyev also commented on the statement of Raif Kishiyev.
â€œI am sure that the administration of the Defense Ministry ordered Rauf Kishiyev to issue such a statement. I have always been devoted to my state, our laws and Supreme Commander-in-Chief. I will continue serving honestly,â€ he said.

Lankaran Aliyev said the criminal case, which was launched against him several years ago, was updated.
â€œThey claim that I beat a major in 2006. The criminal case has been updated, I have been interrogated,â€ he said.

Chief of the Defense Ministryâ€™s law department, Colonel Rauf Kishiyev accused General Lankaran Aliyev of making statements unbecoming to a serviceman, attempting to get public support regarding the case.

According to the statement, serious violations of law were revealed when Lankaran Aliyevâ€™s activity as chief of Teaching Training Center was inspected, criminal case was launched on several articles of the Criminal Code.
