New helicopters of Azerbaijani State Border Service’s aviation detachment carry out first flight - <font color=red>PHOTO</font>

APA reports that Mi-35 M helicopter demonstrated various maneuvers in the sky and carried out difficult acrobatics at the military airdrome of the SBS.

First Deputy Prime Minister Yaqub Eyyubov and chief of the SBS Elchin Guliyev observed the flight.

The test flights of these helicopters, which first were included in the arsenal of Azerbaijani Armed Forces, were highly appreciated.

Mi-35 M helicopter is a modernized version of the Mi-24, designed to destroy armored vehicles. These helicopters can carry out evacuation of the wounded and landing, providing of the units with fire support, as well as cargo carriage by harness.

The helicopter was supplied by the thermal observation system IRTV-445MGH, satellite navigation system GPS115L GARMIN which enables to determine the objects at a distance of more than 4 km at night or in the daytime. 8 guided anti-tank missiles with 9M114 cumulative warheads “Sturm-V”, S-8 caliber 80 mm and C-24 caliber 240 mm unguided missiles, gun 9-A-629 12.7 mm and 2 9-A -622 caliber 7.62 mm machine-guns, 9-A-800 30 mm caliber grenade launcher and various bombs weighing from 50 to 500 kg are included into helicopter’s armament.
