Azerbaijan buys anti-tank missiles and mine throwers from Israel

APA reports that Azerbaijan reached agreements with Israeli â€œRafaelâ€ company last year on purchase of â€œSpike SRâ€, â€œSpike-LRâ€ anti-tank missiles, and Cardom 120mm mine throwers with Elbit Systems Company.

No information was given on Azerbaijanâ€™s order and their deliverance.

Spike-SR is the short range version of the weapon, minimum range is 200 m (660 ft) while the maximum range is 800 m and is intended for infantry use. The reusable Command & launch unit (CLU), battery, tripod and the thermal sight are also used by other land-based versions (with the exception of Spike NLOS) of the Spike missile family, each weighing 5 kg, 1 kg, 2.8 kg, and 4 kg respectively. Spike-LR is a long range version. The weight of the missile is 14 kg, maximum range is 4,000 m and is used by infantry and light combat vehicles. It adds fiber-optic communication to and from the launching soldier during flight.

120 mm Cardom mine throwers produced by Soltam Systems Company can discharge 15 projectiles per minute. Maximum Range is 7,240 metres.
