Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Taliban forces attacked 7 areas in Kabul city including positions of the battalion of the Turkish Armed Forces, APA reports quoting The Associated Press.
The agency has reported that the Turkish battalion repelled Taliban attacks, but no losses have been reported.
According to other news agencies, 36 Taliban militants were killed in the shooting.
Spokesman for Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan, Colonel Eldar Sabiroghlu said there were no casualties among the Azerbaijani peacekeepers serving in the Turkish Battalion in Kabul. He said Azerbaijani soldiers are safe and sound.
Currently, there are 94 Azerbaijani peacekeepers are serving in ISAF in Afghanistan.
