Azerbaijan interested in Combat Management Systems of Turkeyâ€™s HAVELSAN company

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA. Azerbaijan expressed its interest in Ship Integrated Combat Management Systems (GENESIS) of Turkeyâ€™s HAVELSAN company, the sides are holding discussions with this regard, head of Naval Combat Systems Group of HAVELSAN Serdar Muldur told APA.

HAVELSAN offered the Azerbaijani Naval Forces the GENESIS and similar system installed in Milgem corvette. Noting that Milgem corvette is provided with modern weapons, the company official said this system can be used in the ships in the Caspian Sea.

Serdar Muldur added that new patrol boats are being built in Turkish shipyards for the Caspian littoral states.
â€œ40 mm guns, 12.7 mm weapons, sonar systems and radars will be installed on these boats. Two boats provided with HAVELSANâ€™s Combat Management Systems have been recently sold to Turkmenistan,â€ he said.

HAVELSANâ€™s produced Combat Management Systems can be integrated into Soviet ships.

The companyâ€™s official said Azerbaijan is interested in electronic radars produced by HAVELSAN, AFOS Artillery Forward Observer Simulator was delivered to Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.
