Turkey interested in studying Azerbaijan’s experience in demining

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation of Turkey is interested in studying Azerbaijan’s experience in demining, chief of sale and export department of the corporation Akif Akgul told APA.

Akif Akgul said a delegation from the corporation visited Azerbaijan in February and attended 25-day trainings.
“Azerbaijan has gained good experience in this field and holds good trainings. Though we had proposals from America and other countries, we evaluated Azerbaijan. Turkey will start demining the border with Syria. We also want to participate in these projects, realize these activities with the experience we gained in Azerbaijan,” he said.

Akgul underlined that they will send new delegations to Azerbaijan for training.

He said Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation can participate in the tender for demining Turkey-Syria border together with Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA).
Akgul said the corporation is viewing the opportunities of cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina in humanitarian demining.
