Farewell ceremony with Azerbaijani martyred servicemen Mubariz Ibrahimov and Farid Ahmadov ends

Note that, the farewell ceremony in honor of our servicemen was held at Training and Education Center. Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev attended the ceremony as well.

Leadership of Defense Ministry, servicemen, public figures, civilians attended the ceremony.

Remind that, Ensign Mubariz Ibrahimov was killed on June 18, but Officer Farid Ahmadov on September 4 in Terter region of Azerbaijan while they were heroically repulsing enemyâ€™s attack. President Ilham Aliyev issued an order to honor Mubariz Ibrahimov with a title of National Hero.

On October 27, President Dmitry Medvedev of Russia, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Serzh Sargsyan of Armenia held a tripartite meeting in Astrakhan, Russia and signed a joint declaration about immediate repatriation of prisoners of war and bodies of killed servicemen. The declaration reflected exchange of military captives and repatriation of bodies of the dead.

Yesterday, within the framework of implementation of the declaration signed by Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents, bodies of Ibrahimov and Ahmadov repatriated to Azerbaijan.
