Azerbaijanâ€™s Strategic Defense Survey to be ready by year-end

The representatives of the military bodies, security agencies, experts of the state economic structures participated in the preparation of the Strategic Defense Survey. According to the source, the document covers security environment, meetings on armed forces and security environment, review of the past, directions of the developments, broad sector. The document is expected to be approved at the en of this year. The preparation of the Strategic Defense Survey began in 2008. The working group was to rework on the document as the initial draft had some shortcomings.

The draft Strategic Defense Survey was prepared with the participation of the US European Command, experts of Turkey and NATO.
