Chief of Turkish Gendarmerie Command, Colonel-General Mustafa Biyik arrives in Azerbaijan

Mustafa Biyik has today visited the Main Office of the Interior Troops. Earlier, he visited the monument erected to the martyrs in the Main Office.

Later, commander of Interior Troops, Lieutenant-General Zakir Hasanov received Mustafa Biyik. The Turkish visitor was informed about the activity of the Interior Troops. The sides exchanged views on the prospects of the cooperation.

The visit will last till May 28. Mustafa Biyik plans to hold meetings in the State Border Service and other military structures.

Azerbaijani Interior Troops and Turkish Gendarmerie Command signed a protocol on cooperation in provision, staff qualification in 1997. Within the framework of this protocol the Interior Troops are closely cooperating with the related body of Turkey.
