Azerbaijani Eldar Tagiyev held hostage in Armenia sends letter to his family

She said Tagiyevâ€™s detention conditions were monitored, one-on-one meeting was held with him on January 21. The hostage gave a letter for his family. The letter has also been delivered to his family, Tagiyevâ€™s family sent a letter to him.

Tagiyevâ€™s son Elmar Tagiyev told APA that in the letter his father asked about the family, said the situation was normal and told them not to worry.
â€œHe wrote the letter himself. He especially asked about his daughters, grandchildren and sisters. He did not write whether he wanted to be taken hostage deliberately, or did not want to return,â€ he said.

Tovuz resident Eldar Tagiyev, 47, was fired at and later taken hostage by the Armenian servicemen on the line of contact near Alibeyli village of Tovuz region on December 28, 2009.
