Azerbaijani servicemen participate in international military-medical exercise in Serbia

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. International Military-Medical Exercise MEDCEUR 2009 kicked off in Nis, Serbia. Representatives of the armed forces of 15 CIS and Central and Eastern European countries joined the exercise, APA reports quoting the US European Command (EUCOM). 600 military medical servicemen attended the exercise, which will last until September 13 and aims training of medical personnel of the countries jointly participated in the operations of emergency situations.
Serbian Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac said it was the largest military medical exercise in the world. “MEDCEUR involves different countries every year”.
Serbia, Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Germany, Georgia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Norway, Ukraine and U.S. are attending the event.
