Search-and-rescue detachment of Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations can be involved in NATO operations on eliminating the consequences of emergency situations, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations, Major-General Etibar Mirzayev said at the conference on the theme “NATO – An Alliance of Full Political Maturity†in Baku, APA reports.
Etibar Mirzayev said 300-member search-and-rescue detachment had been formed in the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The detachment has been supplied with firefighting equipment, laboratory, air equipment, mobile hospital and other necessary devices.
