According to information obtained from diplomatic sources, Turkey has announced its conditions for the normalization process with Syria. In the statement, it was stated that the way to return to the pre-2011 relations passes through 4 points.
The statement included the following expressions;
- The cleansing of terrorist elements to preserve the territorial integrity and unity of Syria,
- The establishment of a genuine national consensus in line with the legitimate demands and expectations of the Syrian people, within the framework of UN Security Council Resolution 2254,
- In connection with this, the creation of necessary conditions for safe and dignified returns,
- Depends on the uninterrupted continuation of humanitarian aid.
If this understanding is established and realistic approaches are implemented, steps that can contribute to the well-being of Syria, the security of neighboring countries, and regional stability will be taken.
