“We also discussed the situation in Gaza in Antalya,” said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, APA reports.
The minister stated that a ceasefire is needed in the region.
“We need a ceasefire to achieve peace in Gaza and to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid. HAMAS’ release of a U.S. citizen is an important step. A ceasefire is also necessary to reduce tensions in the region and to pave the way for diplomatic talks. As Türkiye, we will continue to support efforts for a ceasefire. Following the ceasefire, we are ready to do our best for the reconstruction of Gaza and for a two-state solution,” the Turkish Foreign Minister emphasized.
