China’s newly appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan, Lu Mei, arrived in Baku on April 14 to begin her diplomatic mission, the Chinese Embassy told APA.
During the welcoming ceremony, the diplomat emphasized that two countries are not only sincere and reliable friends but also equal partners.
Lu Mei expressed her honor in representing her country in Azerbaijan at a time when bilateral cooperation is developing in all directions under the strategic leadership of the two countries' leaders.
The ambassador also stated her readiness to adhere to the important agreements reached between the heads of states and to work closely with representatives from all segments of Azerbaijani society to develop pragmatic cooperation, strengthen mutual understanding between the peoples, and elevate the China-Azerbaijan strategic partnership to a new level.
Note that the position of China's ambassador to Azerbaijan was previously held by Guo Min.
