Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has instructed the military to take necessary measures to prevent a ship belonging to the “Freedom Flotilla Coalition” — carrying aid and climate activist Greta Thunberg — from reaching the shores of Gaza, Katz announced wrote on his official X (formerly Twitter) page, APA reports.
“I have ordered the Israeli military to act to stop the ship from reaching Gaza. I say clearly to the antisemitic Greta and her friends: you better turn back, because you will not reach Gaza,” Katz stated.
The minister emphasized that Israel will act against any attempts to break the blockade or assist terrorist organizations by sea, air, or land.
The ship, which is expected to arrive near Gaza within the next 48 hours, reportedly carries French and Swedish nationals, including a diplomat.
