Iran's Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei has commented on Telegram messenger's founder Pavel Durov's arrest, APA reports.
Khamenei spoke about Durov's detention during a meeting with members of the new cabinet.
"There is control everywhere in cyberspace. You saw that this unfortunate young man (Pavel Durov) was detained in France and threatened with 20 years of imprisonment. This shows that they have violated their rules," Khamenei said.
Note that Telegram's operation has been banned in Iran for more than six years.
