In a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, held in Beirut on Friday, the Prime Minister of Lebanon Najib Mikati praised Iran for supporting the Lebanese government and people in hard times, APA reports citing Tasnim news agency.
Briefing the Iranian minister on the latest developments in Lebanon, the prime minister deplored the UN Security Council’s inaction on the issue.
Araqchi called for the mobilization of the international organizations for a concerted action.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi traveled to Beirut on Friday to hold meetings with Lebanese officials, APA reports citing Tasnim news agency.
The top Iranian diplomat arrived in Beirut on Friday morning.
“An Iranian plane has landed at the Rafik Hariri International Airport with Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on board,” the Lebanese National News Agency said.
Araqchi is expected to meet Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati and speaker of parliament Nabih Berri.
He is going to discuss the latest developments in Lebanon and the regional situation.
