Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi rejected any negotiations with the United States while Israel continues its attacks on Iran, in an interview with state TV broadcast on Friday, APA reports.
Araghchi emphasized that Iran had already been part of negotiation processes, but would not proceed with any dialogue unless the attacks are halted. “We will not discuss our missile capabilities with anyone. They are strictly defensive. We are open to Europeans seeking a diplomatic solution to Iran's nuclear program, and our current talks in Geneva are focused on the nuclear issue,” he noted.
The minister added that Iran only targets military and economic facilities and does not strike residential areas.
He stressed that Iran's missile operations are meticulously planned and fully comply with international law. Commenting on the US President's use of the term “we” when referring to Israeli strikes, Araghchi said this was a clear sign of Washington’s complicity with Israel.
He concluded that offers for talks with Iran are increasing and credited the Iranian people’s resistance for its growing impact.
