The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also accused the United States of being involved in the killing of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas' political wing in a statement, APA reports.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran also highlights the responsibility of the U.S. government in continuing the occupation and genocide against the Palestinians, and in the perpetration of this heinous terrorist act." the statement reads.
In its statement, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the killing of Haniyeh "in the strongest terms" and stated that Iran has the "right to respond appropriately to this aggressive action against its sovereignty and territorial integrity."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also called on countries and international organizations to support Palestine and take impeachment measures against Israel.
