The fifth round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States has begun, APA reports citing Reuters.
The talks are taking place at the Omani Embassy in Rome.
Note that previous rounds of Iran-U.S. talks were held in Italy and Oman.
The negotiations are being led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi from the Iranian side, and by Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff from the US side.
After the 4th round of Iran-U.S. talks, Steve Witkoff stated that the U.S. would not accept even one percent of uranium enrichment in Iran. In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that regardless of whether an agreement is reached or not, despite repeated bans on uranium enrichment, Tehran will continue this process.
