Erdoğan: We’ll do our best to continue Russia-Ukraine talks

"The meeting of Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul is of utmost importance for ending the war," said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, APA reports.

He emphasized that the conflict in Ukraine cannot be resolved through military means and reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to ongoing efforts toward a peaceful solution.

Erdoğan noted that the talks held in Istanbul, facilitated by Türkiye, were designed as a step toward peace.

“Our greatest wish is to achieve concrete results from the peace talks. The meeting of the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul is extremely important for ending the war. We will do our best to ensure the continuation of these negotiations,” he said.

Notably, a round of Russia-Ukraine talks was held in Istanbul yesterday.
