"Türkiye will continue its efforts to gain recognition for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC)," President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told journalists, APA’s Istanbul correspondent reports.
He emphasized that Türkiye will never leave the TRNC alone or abandoned.
“As the Republic of Türkiye, it is our historical and humanitarian responsibility to defend the rights and interests of the Turkish Cypriots on every platform. We are determined to fulfill this responsibility. We believe that the Turkic World will continue to stand by its brothers in TRNC,” he stated.
