An earthquake that struck the southwestern coast of Türkiye has left one person dead and 69 others injured, Türkiye’s Minister of Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, on his X account, APA reports.

As previously reported, a 5.8-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Aegean Sea between Türkiye and Greece, APA reports citing Turkish media.
11 people were injured as a result of the incident.
According to Muğla Governor İdris Akbıyık, the injured individuals were those who panicked during the earthquake and jumped from high-rise buildings.

A 5.8-magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Aegean Sea between Türkiye and Greece, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said, APA reports.
According to the report, the epicenter of the tremor was located 18 km southeast of the city of Marmaris in Türkiye, which has a population of approximately 95,800.
The earthquake's hypocenter was at a depth of 58 km.
At present, there is no information on casualties or structural damage.
A tsunami warning has been issued for the affected area.
