As part of Speaker of the Latvian Saeima Daiga Mieriņa's official visit to Azerbaijan, Embassy of this country in Azerbaijan together with the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan presented a multimedia exhibition titled "Jūlijs Straume-150: Patterns in different cultures" dedicated to Latvian cultural heritage in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
Speaker of the Latvian Saeima Daiga Mieriņa and Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan Farhad Jabbarov spoke at the opening of the exhibition.
Daiga Mieriņa said in her speech that she went to the region where the Latvian artist once visited.
"I had the chance to visit Garabagh. This was very emotional and touching. I believe that Shusha, which is the pearl of your culture and history, will be reborn," the Speaker stated.
