On May 2, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder of IDEA Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva, and Head of Baku Media Center, Arzu Aliyeva, visited the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic along with family members, APA reports.
The visit included exploration of Nakhchivan’s rich historical and cultural heritage, unique architectural monuments, social-medical rehabilitation institutions, and natural landmarks.
The program began with laying flowers at the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Nakhchivan city, followed by a visit to the Heydar Aliyev Museum, where they viewed exhibits reflecting the statesman’s life and political legacy.
The itinerary also included visits to architectural landmarks such as the Momine Khatun Mausoleum and the Nakhchivan Khan Palace. The delegation toured the open-air museum at “Ajami” park, showcasing artifacts from the khanate era.
As part of the program, Leyla Aliyeva, Arzu Aliyeva, and their family visited the Nakhchivan Child Rehabilitation Center for children with disabilities. They examined various departments and observed rehabilitation services on-site.
Leyla Aliyeva gifted the center several rehabilitation devices for hand and foot therapy, including robotic rehabilitation gloves, miostimulation, and infrared therapy equipment.
The day concluded with the screening of the feature film Taghiyev: Oil at the Heydar Aliyev Palace in Nakhchivan, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Taghiyev: Oil, produced by Baku Media Center, is the first part of a film series dedicated to the life story of the renowned philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev.
