“Although piracy level in the software sector in Azerbaijan is decreasing, this trend is not quite dynamic”, Cybersecurity and Licensing Compliance Lead of Microsoft in CIS countries Dmitry Beresnev told ONA.
According to him research shows that software piracy rate in the country is 81 percent.
“The good point is that this indicator is lower in critical software. But if we look through the overall situation, this indicator still remains high. It means that in one out of two strategic organizations, even if not on major computers, some of the computers may undergo cyber threats. We cooperate with the government, prosecution and legal authorities to change the situation”, said D.Beresnev.
