The OPEC+ countries haven’t yet discussed a timeframe to extend the oil output cut deal but they plan to consider this possibility in May, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on the sidelines of the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum, ONA reports citing TASS.
"We didn’t discuss it. At our last meeting, we only agreed to discuss it in May," he said in response to a question.
Novak also said that there currently were no initiatives concerning the future options of the OPEC+ deal.
"There currently are no initiatives and there cannot be sooner than April. Then we will see how things go," the Russian energy minister added.
