Iran to transport products to Central Asia via Azerbaijani and Russian railways

Iran has agreed to build a joint venture with Azerbaijan and Russia to transit its products through the railway to Central Asia, Babak Ahmadi, deputy director for trade affairs of the Iran Railway Company, said, ONA's Tehran bureau reports.

Making concessions to gain more income Babak Ahmadi noted that more favorable conditions were created in order to increase Iranian trains' visits to neighboring countries, the development of rail corridors and transit cargo transportation.

According to him, Iran's railway transit increased by 77%.
