99% of pipes have been welded in Greece and Albania within TAP project

Within the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) construction project, 99% of pipes have been welded in Greece and Albania territories, ONA reports citing TAP consortium. 97% of pipes have been flatted under the ground.

Alongside, 89% of the ground has been restored along the pipe route in Greece and Albania.

It should be noted that within the Shah Deniz-2 project, the annual transportation of 10 billion m3 of gas to Europe is foreseen with the TAP pipeline, which is part of the Southern Gas Corridor. This pipeline will run through Greece, Albania and Adriatic Sea to the southern Italy.

The Azerbaijani gas is expected to be transported to the Europe until 2020.
