"The upcoming round of consultations between Russia and the United States—aimed at normalizing the work of bilateral diplomatic missions—has been postponed," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told journalists during a briefing, APA reports.
She said the cancellation came at the initiative of the American negotiators.
“The next round of bilateral consultations has been called off. We hope the pause taken by the US side will not be a lengthy one,” Zakharova emphasized.
The consultations were intended to address existing points of tension and restore diplomatic balance in Russia–US relations.
