The Iranian people were not targeted, Tehran's nuclear program was destroyed, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said at a press conference regarding the US strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, APA reports.
The Defense Minister said that when US President Donald Trump speaks, the world should listen to him. Pete Hegseth, who considered the US strike on Iran's nuclear facilities a great military success, noted that the bombs used were used for the first time: "The Iranian people were not targeted in the operation, Tehran's nuclear program was destroyed. For the first time, such a long-range military operation was carried out with the B-2 bomber. No country's army in the world could have carried out such an operation. The US does not want war, but we will take immediate action when necessary for our interests and partners."
It was noted that 7 B-2 aircraft participated in the operation, and fighter jets accompanied the bombers. In total, 125 military aircraft participated in the operation.
