The U.S. is changing its approach to the weapons procurement system by learning from the experience of conducting military operations in Ukraine, said U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, APA reports.
“Like many of you, we also learned from the Ukraine conflict that the nature of war is changing rapidly. We can no longer conduct defense procurements as we did in the past. Now it is no longer possible to wait for perfect systems for months and years. Because they will be accompanied by delays and budget increases,” he said.
The Pentagon chief added that the United States is working on the rapid implementation of the latest technologies. Because this will give them the opportunity to better counter enemies.
