Turkish President, Armenian PM meet in New York-UPDATED

Normalization between Türkiye and Armenia and the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan were discussed at the meeting, APA reports.

Mr Erdogan said that Türkiye supports the establishment of permanent peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the establishment of strong friendship between the two countries in the new era, and that efforts for this are ongoing.

President Erdogan stated that significant progress has been made in the direction of normalization between Türkiye and Armenia without any preconditions, and expressed his sincere support for the continuation of the dialogue process.

In addition, during the meeting, President Erdogan presented Pashinyan with the book "A fairer world is possible" that he authored.

Within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, APA reports citing Armenpress.

From the Armenian side, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Prime Minister's Spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan and Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan were present at the meeting.
