As President Donald Trump heads to Vatican City to attend the funeral of Pope Francis, he said it’s “possible” he meets with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy there, APA reports citing CNN.
Trump and Zelenskyy will sit apart at the funeral tomorrow, as the Vatican will be following protocol that arranges delegations in French alphabetical order rather than in English.
If they were seated in alphabetical order in English, Ukraine’s delegation would be seated very close to the delegation from the United States of America, as both countries start with the letter U. However, in French, the US is known as États-Unis, so the American delegation could be seated near officials from Estonia and Eswatini.
