If U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is elected President of the United States, she will remove the current Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and the President's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan from their positions, the Wall Street Journal claimed, APA reports.
The newspaper writes that the key role in implementing this change will be played by Philip Gordon, who was the National Security Advisor to the U.S. President during Barack Obama’s administration.
Currently part of Kamala Harris's team, Gordon previously served as a White House Coordinator for the Middle East.
The article also notes that Philip Gordon is remembered for his opposition to the plan for arming anti-Bashar Assad fighters in Syria.
Note that the U.S. presidential election will be held on November 5.
