In 2024, a total of AZN 362.5 million in subsidies were paid to 380,704 farmers in Azerbaijan, the Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov said during his speech at the event titled “4th AgroBusiness Development Forum: The Path to Harmony,” APA reports.
He emphasized that the government also supports farmers in the areas of agricultural machinery and breeding livestock: "Last year, subsidies totaling AZN 83.9 million were allocated for 6,477 pieces of agricultural machinery, while this year, AZN 80.8 million were allocated for 9,107 pieces. This year, AZN 80.8 million has been allocated for 9,107 units. Additionally, in 2024, AZN 17.4 million in subsidies were provided for 5,830 heads of breeding livestock. These financial incentives aim to promote local production and support the creation of farms resilient to climate risks."
