FAO: Caspian Agro is celebration for those advancing global food security and agriculture

"Today’s event is not only a celebration for Azerbaijan but also for the people and partnerships advancing food security and agricultural development in the region and globally," said Muhammad Nasar, Representative of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Azerbaijan, at the opening ceremony of the 18th Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition “Caspian Agro” and the 30th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition “InterFood Azerbaijan”, APA reports

According to him, FAO’s partnership with the Azerbaijani government continues to expand steadily, and the organization has been a longstanding partner in the development of the country’s agriculture sector.

“Just a few months ago, Baku hosted COP29, a major event that brought world leaders together to address global challenges like climate change. Today, we are continuing the momentum created by that event in our daily work—through sustainable food systems, better water resource management, and climate-resilient agriculture,” Nasar added.
