Azerbaijan’s CEC not allowed appeal related to cancellation of election results in some constituencies

Today the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan considered the appeals regarding the results of parliamentary elections held on November 7, 2010, APA reports.

In today’s meeting, CEC staffers considered appeals of the bellow-mentioned candidates related to cancellation of election results in appropriate consistencies.

Nariman Yahyayev – candidate from # 47 Mingachevir election Constituency;
Habil Gasimov – candidate from # 68 Jalilabad village Election Constituency;
Yousif Baghirzade – chairman of Azerbaijan National Independence Party – candidate from # 39 Kapaz I (Ganja) Election Constituency;
Agil Samedbeyli – candidate from # 35 Khatai III Election Constituency;
Yegana Amiraslanova – candidate from # 103 Gadabay Election Constituency;
Chingiz Damiroglu – Azerbaijan Prosperity Party – candidate from # 37 Nizami I (Ganja) Election Constituency;
Adil Geybulla – candidate from # 115 Sheki village II Election Constituency;
Elshad Pasha (Pashasoy) – candidate from # 72 Yardimli-Masalli Election Constituency;
Hasanbala Mammadov – candidate from # 51 Gusar Election Constituency.

After consideration all candidates’ appeals CEC made decision not to allow the appeals of the candidates.

Of note, in today’s meeting CEC cancelled the results of the elections in two precincts. In the next meetings CEC will consider the appeals related to cancellation of election results in various constituencies.
