Baku. Parvin Abbasov – APA. Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsperson) of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova visited the Elections Information Center of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Sunday evening.

Suleymanova told journalists that her office didn’t receive complaints about serious law infringements today, APA correspondent reports from the Information Center. “Usually we receive complaints next day after the elections. According to the reports we obtained, some local observers informed their international colleagues about the law infringements, but they denied own information”.

Suleymanova said some observers were too ambitious: “They intended to check identity cards of the voters. Despite pre-election seminars and trainings organized for the observers, some of them are still unprepared”.

Suleymanova said she and her staff members observed the voting process in the penitentiaries and didn’t see any law infringements there.
