Land Forces Commander appointed Chief General

Ankara-APA. Determination of the new command levels of Turkish Armed Forces has ended, APA reports quoting Turkish media.
Forces Commander Ilker Bashbug has been assigned as the Chief General.

Former Gendarmerie Commander General Koshaner has been assigned as the Land Forces Commander. Atila Ishık has been appointed Land Forces General. Deputy Chief of General Staff Gen. Ergin Saygun has been appointed First Army Commander, Second Army Commander Hasan Igsız has been appointed Deputy Chief of General Staff. Naval Forces Commander Adm. Muzaffer Metin Atach, Air Forces Commander Gen. Aydogan Babaoglu have not changed their posts.
New Chief of General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug was born in Afyon, Turkey in 1943. He worked in Turkish Army and NATO Headquarters in Brussels and Mons cities. He is married and has two children.
