Governor of Georgia’s Kvemo Kartli, densely populated by Azerbaijanis, may quit


The governor of Georgia’s Kvemo Kartli region, Paata Khizanashvili, said on Friday that he may step down after a decision is taken on his appointment to another position, APA reported citing Georgia’s IPN agency.

 

Paata Khizanashvili has been serving as head of the Kvemo Kartli region, densely populated by Azerbaijanis, since December 2014.
