Vassily Ivanchuk: I was lucky in game against Shakhriyar Mamedyarov

Baku. Kenan Hasanov - APA-Sport. Ukrainian grandmaster Vasily Ivanchuk said it was very difficult to secure victory in Mikhail Tal memorial tournament held in Moscow, Russia.
The player underlined three most challenging rounds for him.
â€œI mean the rounds against Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Alexander Morozevich and Ruslan Ponomariov. I faced unbelievable challenges in these encounters. We had many unexpected mistakes. Actually, I was waiting for the good opportunity. I must admit that I was luckyâ€, he said.
Ivanchuk scored 6 points and became the winner of the competition. His game with Azeri grandmaster Mamedyarov in the fourth round ended in a draw.
