Baku. Kenan Hasanov - APA-Sport. World U-20 chess championship has got underway in Gazientep, Turkey.
Azeri player Eltaj Seferli, European and world junior champion has advanced to the top after 3 victories in men’s competition. He is to face Amin Bassem (Egypt) in round 4 today. Other Azeri players, including European bronze medalist Rauf Mammedov and Orkhan Abdulov have scored 2 points. Vasif Durarbeyli and Behruz Rzayev have one point each.
Khayale Isgenderova has scored 2.5 points, Turkan Mammedyarova 2 and Nermin Kazimova 1.5 points after 3 rounds. The 13-round competition is to last till August 15.
