Azeri wrestler Elvin Murseliyev becomes world champ

Istanbul. Elshen Mammedov - APA-Sport. Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Elvin Murseliyev has earned gold medal in the world championship held in Istanbul, Turkey, APA-Sport reports.
The 20-year-old (74 kg) reached final after the victories over the rivals from South Korea, India, Uzbekistan and Iran. He won the final round over Alkhazur Ozdiyev (Kazakhstan) and scored the gold medal.
Hadjikhan Mustafayev (60 kg0 was the second to capture a medal. The 20-aged defeated German and Czech wrestlers. He had a challenging round with Armenian rival Varam Khacatrian and managed to gain the bronze medal.
Other two Azeri wrestlers – Khurshud Babashov (50 kg) and Semed Jabrayilov (96 kg) were left without medals. Following the victories over Uzbekistan and Georgian sportsmen, Babashov was beaten by Kyrgyz wrestler in quarter-final. Jabrayilov won over Greek wrestler in first encounter, but suffered a defeat in the next round by Georgian sportsman.
