Iraq banned to join Beijing Olympics

Baku. Kenan Hasanov - APA-Sport. Iraqi sportsmen will not participate in 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games, APA-Sport reports.
International Olympic Committee (IOC)has passed a decision on the issue. Iraq was expected to join the competition with 7 sportsmen including 2 rowers, two athletes, an archer, a weightlifter and a judo wrestler.
The IOC made a decision on closure of Iraq Olympic Committee after the local government had interfered in committee business.
