AVF vice-president and coach Faig Garayev spoke about the success of the team. Meanwhile, the coach expressed his deep concern over problems. Garayev noted that the team hasn’t got a private camp.
“The team should have a base with volleyball fields and waterpolo pond. Trasportation minister Ziya Mammedov, communications and technololies minister Ali Abbasov and MP Shemseddin Hadjiyev are ready to contribute to the construction. Unfortunately, the venue for the base hasn’t been allocated yet”, he said.
Garayev noted that they have no hall to prepare for the competitions or just for training except Guba olympic centre.
“4 Azeri clubs are going to join Euro-scaled competitions in a month. We don’t have a venue to host the matches”, he said.
Hueynzade stated that NOC is aware of problems. He thinks the construction will take a long time. The official noted that they are to take alternative options into consideration.
“We have olympic centres in capital, as well as other regions. Some of them are vacant. Besides, the team may prepare for the competitions in the halls of the universities”, he said.
Huseynzade underlined that the committee will handle the isues as soon as Beijing Olympic Games is over.
