The Syrian crisis and the situation in Ukraine will be top items when U.S. President Donald Trump meets with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki on July 16, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Sky News Arabia.
Pompeo noted that the U.S. seeks to make Russia, Syria and Iran adhere to political deals.
Washington aims to work out a new constitution for Syria and find a political solution to the conflict, the top diplomat noted.
Pompeo also urged Iran to withdraw its troops from Syria.
The secretary of state accuses Russia of violating the agreements with the U.S. and Jordan on the southern part of Syria.
The U.S., Russia and Jordan agreed to foster a cease-fire in a limited area of southwestern Syria in June 2017.
